Trying somthing diffrent.

I got the opportunity to try out a friends rifle, Shooting Prone with a sling, shooting 600 yards with peep sights.

Using a SIUS Electronic Scoring System, I can tell you I was a bit nervous shooting at a 10-14k target system for my first try ever shooting like this!

Looks like fun. TR shooting is something that is interesting to me but will likely stick with F class work.

I have heard rumours and have seen guys shooting with scopes but I think it is just a fad.

Is that an RPA action or an HHE Millennium action?

You have to be a strong ladd, holding that rifle like that.
The part under the stock is called a HAND STOP, not only a sling swivel, if you ever get the urge to try that again, tighten up the sling, and move your left hand further down the fore end, your position will be greatly tightened and with the shooting ability previously displayed your group will tighten right up.Great first try.

The hand stop I am sure would have made it much more easy! My arm was dead tired after shooting only 5 shots!

Shooting prone with a sling for the first time is like wrestling with yourself. I have also heard the whole jacket and sling thing refered to a bondage gear. But trust me it does get easier to shoot with a jacket and sling after you do it a few times.
