i am looking at buying a glenfield mod 30A marling lever 3030 and was wondering when it was made and the value. the serial # is 210XX671. does anyone have this info thanks

thank you for the fast reply and info, it is hard to beat the quality in the older guns.

Marlins were very well made during those years. The price always depends on the condition and the model. I would stab at $400 to $600 CAD. It doesn't matter how much money they demand or otherwise. They become invaluable to the owner. The Glenfield 30A was just as good as a 336 except the wood was birch rather than walnut. The receiver contained the same quality Marlin parts. They were a lower end cousin that was sold in department stores like Sears and Wal Mart so I naturally assume the asking price should be some less than a 336.

Sorry. I just noticed that this is an older thread. It's always fun to talk about them though.
