I’m down to bcm, pws, colt, DD, and FN. I had a bcl... still a little bitter over the customer service and want to start fresh.

Pierre, if you are doing this to spite Justin, then buy all of them. If I had to pick one (and this is my personal taste in opinion) it would be Colt first, DD 2nd, Sig 3rd, FN 4th and Savage 5th. Having said that, these are all entry level ARs and in reality only have a little bit more to offer than the cheapest AR, the M&P15. The reasons for my list are more random than any serious comparison such as I like the Colt name and Savage's proprietary hand guard is unique looking enough for me to consider it. I only have the Colt and Sig so I can't truly say if any one of these entry level ARs are better than the other.

Flip a coin, you literally cannot go wrong with either. BCM or PWS are going to give you options of complete finished builds. Colt and FN are going to be more on the basic end of things ie room to upgrade. Pick which of those suits you best.

I own a PWS and it seems fine. Others have called it soft shooting. Stays clean. The bolt is really nice finished metal. Effective brake but those around you hate you... and that’s a 14.5”

No.. Colt USA is on the downward spiral. Hard evidence out there that they now outsource nearly all their parts except the receiver. Old Colt is solid. DD is 100% milspec and good to go. SIG doesn't build milspec anything. FN is solid but again no entirely milspec. Savage is a hobby gun.

For what it's worth, I have a friend who was Toronto SWAT, sniper and bomb tech, trained with RCMP anti terror team and Can Forces special forces teams. He says Colt Canada can't be beat.

No offense, but someone's vocation that of a cop does not mean they know anything more than the next guy. He's likely issued or used a CC rifle, that's it. Nothing wrong with CC rifles except for their ignorant carbine gas system.

Build one on an Aero Precision lower/upper from Sask Gun works. As good as it gets...

No, it's not as good as it gets. Blender guns assembled by the masses are nowhere near as well made or reliable as factory built guns from reputable brands.

I say BCM for weight and cost factor vs the other comparable brands (DD/Colt). I carry a Colt and prefer my personal BCM.
Anyone of those 3 all are great and you can't go wrong with any.

Would it be because that's the only one he's ever trained with??? Most cops love the Glock as well - go figure!!
