First owned by my great grandfather, and eventually made its way down the line to me. .22 LR single shot, called a "boot pistol", I believe it dates from around 1905. Little rough around the edges, but remember watching my grandfather shoot it about 50 years ago. Can anyone here put a model number on this puppy? Not having much luck tracking it down on the net.

J. Stevens Reliable Pocket Rifle

IIRC, made from the late 1880s until just before WW2.
26,000 to 100,000 serial # range.
There could be a slot/position for a wire frame shoulder stock, serialized to this pistol.
Made by J.Stevens A & T (Arms & Tool) at Chicopee Falls, Mass.
