Seen a couple videos and noticed you have to push a pin out that is on the bottom of the rifle, However i cannot get this pin to budge at all.

Can you not knock this pin out on the CSA rifles?

Has anyone installed a tactical bolt release on a CSA 858? Any advice/help?

Thanks,

if it's the one that i'm thinking, it may have to come out "up" instead of down. seems that some are installed that way, and i don't know which is the right way. also there is a small retainer edge to that "pin" so you 'll have to relieve the tension off that edge before the pin will move....pics would help.

Mine pin was installed opposite to what I saw in the bolt release install video (CZ 858). Make sure you're going the right way! It's obviously a one-way pin, with a large round head and the opposite end split with a small retaining lip that tungn mentions. You have to push the retaining lip aside to move the pin, whichever way it is installed. Mine came out no problem whatsoever.

It's possible that it might be corroded in place, or it might simply be a very tight fit. Solution is the same as all tight pins: penetrating oil and/or heat. You should be able to rotate the pin in place.
