So, I've shot a couple times with Parkspipes and he's always so stylish in his shooting waistcoat. I'm feeling like a bit of a bum, right? With my ball cap and squash shoes.
With his permission I'll post a pic from our sporting clays get-together this summer.
Early this year I learned that GastonGlock is closing their webstore with drastic price cuts. So I ordered this: https://www.gastonglockstyle.com/hu...hunting-apparel-vests/classic-tweed-vest.html
and one of these
https://www.gastonglockstyle.com/hu...pparel-hats-caps/rollable-hat-monte-viso.html
Then, one of my skeet friends shows up at the club with a very nice - and as it turns out relatively bargain-priced - tweed shooting jacket made in England. Yeah, I ordered one in a different colour. Because, well just because image is going to help my shooting somehow. And I did need a new jacket.
Their website is crazy slow to load but I think this is the item:
https://www.walkerandhawkes.com/sho...-shooting-hunting-country-jacket-brown-tweed/
My shooting friends are like, "I don't know how to think about you now. Do I call you Mister?"
I think I am going to draw the line at breeks, though. Would feel a bit of a toff, now wouldn't I?
Carry on, cheerio!

I looked at the Gaston Glock fashion website. Those are some snazzy duds! Almost too good to wear outdoors. Thanks for the post.

Hah! Thanks John !
Actually since the summer I picked up a new snappy vest from AlanPaine.
Not tweed but canvas with leather.
It’s a little on the heavier side so best when it’s cooler in the Fall.
We’ll certainly look the part the next time we’re out shooting!

Sometimes they have some great deals too, but watch out for duties.

I have to agree that I’m not ready for breeks or the full regalia like I’ve seen in pics of the American vintagers shoots.
Mind you my wife would probably come shooting then just so she could stand around wearing a giant tweed hat or something :)

Man, covid’s boring, so when’s our next SXS Classic anyways ?? !

Oh, I'm taking that as implicit consent. Here's the man crushing them with his Greener.

Frank, I always thought those People-of-Walmart images in (I'm not saying it's you) a white tiger stripe halter top with back boobs were so unfair and needlessly judgmental.

Damn you both.

Just as I’m working up enough nerve to pull the trigger on a couple classic leather full length English gun slips, you bring up a whole new area to piss money away on. I badly want two of the four selected items and I haven’t even browsed yet.

I might have to go back to work.

Get yourself some Russell moccasin boots while you’re at it! You need them. I LOVE mine.

I’m saving my pennies for a pair of $750 rubber boots. ;) Le Chameau leather lined.

Apparently I can press down on the pedals of my Range Rover shooting brake better with those boots.

You are setting the fashion bar very high indeed.
I'm a ball cap and Levi kind of guy. But, I have a weakness for fine guns.
