I've tried the vice and barrel wrench and I'm just fearful of giving it too much torque and ruining my barrel. Im trying to install a Troy Claymore break, and the original FH seems like it's F'n welded to the barrel. Any suggestions?

Pretty sure I saw a post on this in the last month or 2. there is some kind of black nut or ring that has to be loosened back from the flash hider?

Apparently it is easy to mistake as part of the hider itself, and as a result you're not applying torque to it.

Just my vague memory though, as I have yet to get my eager paws on my own Tavor. Good luck!

yes you have to back the lock nut off before you loosen the FH .. it looks like nut is part of the FH itself but its not they come apart ..

There is a jam nut behind the flash suppressor. Take two wrenches and turn the two parts opposite each other. They will break loose and you should be able to turn them by hand from there.

Then use the jam nut to index the new muzzle device. Far superior to peel or crush washers.

I'm still amazed at how many people aren't aware of the concept of a jam nut.

its not a SPELLING error, so much as the WRONG WORD- brake as applied to the parking brake on a car or brakes, not break, as in something broken; however, it DOES BREAK the recoil by sending gasses out the bottom, so technically, points can be argued either way

you'll have oodles of fun here- two& to are used interchangably, as are they're, their, and there- most don't know how to punctuate, and some make no sense altogether

Here you go, I fixed it for you. Perhaps you are not the best person to criticize others on the subject of spelling and punctuation.

You'll have oodles of fun here. Two and to are used interchangeably, as are they're and there. Most don't know how to punctuate, and some make no sense altogether.
