I think he either rotated the cylinder when he tried to hold it like a semi auto or there was a squib.

Ohh so this is old news. My bad, I looked through the threads and didnt see anything. Thought it may be an issue like the Rugers GPs had early on when the barrels kept popping off

The guy had great form after the shot and the barrel blew off. I am surprised he did not drop the damaged revolver.

It appeared as if he wasn't hurt, lucky for the shooter.

Actually the revolver had approx 1200 rounds through it. The best line ever though, after this happened was, as the shooter puts down the frame, he turns and asks the RO.....

"Was that supposed to happen?"

The only 2 things injured in this incident is the S&W revolver and their pride. ;-)
