It's my understanding that the 6.5mm TSX comes in a 140 gr., but as yet I've been unable to find any. Anybody know if they actually make such a bullet, and if so where they might be available? Also, in another thread here on CGN, someone mentioned a 150 gr. TSX for the .303 British... wondering if that exists as well, and where I might be able to find some? Finally, I've loaded TSX's for 7mm Rem Mag, and have always stayed within the book numbers for the old X bullet. I believe it would be OK to move up to powder weights listed for the Barnes coated bullets of the same weights. Anyone with experience able to comment on this?

Barnes bullets are an expensive anomaly. They're not the standard lead core with a copper jacket. They're solid copper. You really have to buy their manual. They've finally put some load data on-line, 7mm Mag data is there, but not for their 6.5 or .303 bullets. They do say to use minimum 'X' bullet data and work up though. It's under their 'Technical' link on their site.
Barnes is only listing a 130 grain 6.5mm TSX bullet on their site. And cheap they ain't. MSRP is $35.20US per 50.
They do list a .311" 150 grain TSX bullet. $38.01US per 50. Slug your barrel before you buy any bullet for a .303. Lee-Enfield barrels can measure from .311" to .315" and still be considered to be ok. A .311" bullet may be too small. Especially at 76 cents US each.
Epp's is a Barnes dealer. No prices listed on their site though.

Forget the voodoo wiht barnes TSX bullets.

Clean out your bore, nice and squeaky, and then develop a load like you would any other.

seat them close to lands if your mag will allow it. Work up to a powder chare and experiment wiht seating depth.

For me, the TSX bullet has been so accurate that load development has been easy, and that is with about a dozen different guns/cartridges.

Check Barnes website for bullet availiblity.

.To the best of my knowledge there is no 140 gr 6.5mm
I use 120and 130 gr . currently 120tsx bt product # 26441and 130tsx fb product # 26442
Barnes says that you use regular X bullit data But you can load in excess of the reg X bullit data up to 2 gr. over the maximum load listed in their manual you increase by 1/2 gr. till you see signs of excessive preasure.then back off 1gr. from there to acheive your max velocity and preasure .
I load for 250sav.,25-06, 6.5x55,7mm08,308,300weatherby mag.for myself with TSX's...excellent acurracy,great penitration and velocity+++(I'm a velocity junkie)
The 120 TSX's work excellent in my Krag which loves the longer bullets.I have found the coated bullet data to be very close to...or slightly exceeds max preasure . Use the reg. X bullet data +2 gr. as your max. I have been using TSX's for 4+years with no complaints .
