The only real difference is the max velocity each case can push the heavy VLD bullets.
If you don't mind less velocity and a bit more wind drift, the 6BR is a proven cartridge for very LR shooting.
The 6XC works well too and easier to get 3000fps with the heavies due to more case capacity.
However, with more powder burnt comes higher barrel wear and recoil.
