Tube Gun and F class rifle take 1st and 2nd at 600yds NBRSA Nationals

This might be of interest to those thinking of a gun for LR BR shooting. The NBRSA 600yds Nationals were shot a few weekends ago with some pretty twitchy winds.

Some non conventional rifles using modified Rem's took top honours. There are lots of great info on rifle, setups and techniques.

Why am I not surprised? Here's the part that gets me...

Jerry's Lapua cases were neither sorted nor neck-turned. The brass was on its third firing.

Jerry Tierney was the overall winner using a tube gun chambered for a 6 Dasher.

Come on Bill, everyone knows those Savages can only shoot 595 yards with Winchester White Box. If they could only move the target 5 yards closer I am sure those 1/4 MOA Savages would be right there at the top of the prize list
