I'm glad every one is getting good deer this year ! But send some luck lol!



In 8 years this is the hardest I've ever hunted with no success. Numerous times out all sept, October and this weekend. I've come close, had some extremely exciting moments but either wind shifts and he's gone or I run out of the Alberta day light legal time.

Trying again tomorrow. Ive decided now ill even settle for a doe lol.


Anyone elce in this boat?
 
Not quite that bad here but this is the hardest I've ever hunted for a specific deer with no luck. Passed a few decent bucks already. And I shot my does. So no real reason to complain other than I WANT HIM!!
 
I put in a pile of time with the bow and the muzzle loader. There were two big bucks I was trying for but no clean shots. I've run out of time so I cut my tag on a doe and called it a season. A tiny bit disappointed that I did not take one of those big boys but I had them both under my tree stand but they would not take that last step. That was an rush ! On a positive note I saw my son take his first deer yesterday and that made my season.

No horns for the wall but meat in the freezer. Season 2012 done and the prep for 2013 begins. I'll leave all those big Sask bucks for the road warriors.
 
Feel bad in SE Sask. I heard last year was horrible for white tail. I`ve been out a ton of times since last December coyote hunting and barely seen any white tail.
 
I picked up my tag today and will hopefully make it out a few times this season. I saw a couple of really good looking coyotes on the drive home.
 
I had a similar year last year, put in tons of time starting with archery season, just wasn't happening, whether it was timing or luck.

This year my schedule has only allowed me to be out 4 times, 3 of the 4 have had deer come in and some shooters showed.Gotta remember that luck plays a big part of having opportunity.

It will happen, maybe not in the current year but eventually the one that get's your heart going will show.
 
Same here, I should have shot a doe when I had a chance. I am freezing my ass off in a field waiting for a buck right now..
