Tumbling hollowpoints?

The question is put back to you, does the media in the HP affect accuracy? Rather than our conjecture, you have the opportunity to tell us the difference.

The point means nothing to accuracy. The base does.

You obviously didn't watch Sniper(1st one) where Gunny(Berenger) is seen filing the tip of his .308 round(with the file on his finger-nail clipper:p)....and when asked about it he replied..."sometimes these bullets get little burrs on them...this little sucker will take your head off at 1000 yards....." Still was a pretty good movie....although full of alot of :bsFlag::bump:

I bought a few thousand Sierra HPBT Match bullets off a CGN'r. When I got them....one box of 500 were tarnished from age so I decided to run them in the tumbler.

Every bullet had a piece of the tumbling media inside the HP, I picked a few out and decided that I would just shoot the things since I didn't have enough "spare" time in my life to worry about it.

I ended up shooting my best ever 300m 10 shot group with these bullets and am now contemplating running ALL my HP bullets through the tumbler before loading. :D :D
