I'm a turkey hunter and am currently using a HS Strut Undertaker choke tube which states that it is good for lead shot. It has performed well.

This year I am looking to try the new Xtended Range Hi-Density Turkey Loads which are 10% heavier than lead.

Do I need to use a choke tube that can accomodate Hevi-shot or am I okay with my lead only rated choke?

Thanks.

Hevi-shot is a tungsten iron compound and is very hard. You will need another tube. You could look at tungsten matrix from Kent or tungsten polymer from Remington for use with your existing tube.

Sorry, I should clarify. The high density shot that I am talking about is not tungsten or Hevi shot. I was asking if I should use a choke tube that is rated for Hevi-shot/tungsten loads or am I okay with my existing lead only tube. I guess it is in the middle ground. Maybe I should up-grade to be sure.
