i've got a turkey choke that i was extremely disappointed with. it states after close inspection to have .645 diameter. should i be using something else. other forums suggest .660-.680. please help.what is the difference.

thanks

I'm not sure of your question.

Should you be using something else? Well, that's up to you! What brand of choke is it? Are you using it for Turkeys?

"What is the difference?"... in what respect?

As often as not TOO MUCH choke constriction will cause patterns to
"blow" or open-up, i.e., sort of like a garden hose nozzle ... when you
go past the point of no return.

Did you pattern the "Full" choke that was supplied with the gun ?

At what distance are you doing your patterning ?

Good solid hold and a big enough sheet of paper to ensure you are getting the full shot pattern on the paper ?

Depending on what distance you plan on shooting turkeys at, the full choke supplied may serve you well. Pattern it and find out, OR try a few different loads/brands of turkey shells. Some fly good out of mine and some are way off.
