Turkey hatching already...

I walked into a piece of bush on Friday and out to the edge of a field to set out some crow decoys and a hen mallard exploded out of some long scrub grass and weeds on the field edge, the nearest water is 1/2 mile away. I looked around and sure enough there was a nest with eggs so I picked up the decoys and went elsewhere to hunt so she could get back on her nest.

The way i look at it
The birds will be more likely to answer to calling
The real hens are already nesting, and they haven't been bombarded with calls yet
May be a good one

Anybody know what it's been like Turkey-wise in southern BC? I just finished cleaning my shotgun and loading my pack. I'm heading south on Friday to scout out some areas before the season opens on Sunday.
