Last Sat. I was turkey hunting and had a magical day that seldom happens. I set up in a perfect spot , made all the right calls, and had a big Tom come right to me. As I went to pick up my bird another Tom approached with two Jakes in tow. I sat back down and watched the show. The Tom stomped my decoy then proceeded to strut and gobble for the next two hours. Every time he gobbled the Jakes gobbled also. At times they were no more than 7 or 8 ft away from me. If you think a gobble is loud at daylight, you should hear 3 birds gobbling 8ft away. After about an hour, I remembered I had a cell phone and got some cool pictures.
Over the years I have had other extraordinary hunting experiences, but they do not happen that often and you never forget them.
