Turkey hunting on a preserve???

I was reading the ontario hunting regs and noticed that you can hunt wild turkeys on game preserves.Is this hunting turkeys like pheasants or is it real turkey hunting with calling and decoys?Has anyone tryed it I would like to be enlightened.

I know of a private hunting club/preserve where the members and guests can hunt turkeys. It's done the same as real turkey hunting.
 
Ditto ... on the Island Club I've been to .... and the Turkeys are every bit as wary as they are anywhere else.

Deer hunting there too - during a different season than most of the Province.

We are I strongly suspect talking about the same place.

Strictly private. Very expensive. It's way out of my range to join but I know some members who think I'm good company and I get invited as a guest. :D

I assumed it would be. It sure would be nice to get in on that. Tell you what. After I win the lotto this weekend. I will buy us both a membership! Take care.

No problem. If you want to join make sure you have around $30K and the name of a current member to recommend you.

I don't know of any publicly accessible preserves where turkey is being hunted. There are several around for pheasant hunting that I know of but none for turkeys.

Yes but some of those Pheasant preserves also have a good turkey population. ;)
