turkey hunting

I was told I can use my muzzleloader with #4 #5 or#6 shotgun shells. My question is, do shotgun shells exist for muzzleloaders and who sell such a thing in Canada? I have asked many retailers in Quebec including Le Baron and they look at me as if I just escaped from the loony bin. I just took the turkey class and was told that the muzzleloader was a legal firearm for such a hunt. Please clear this up for me.

If its a muzzleloader, then it doesn't take shells. They likely meant with 4,5, or 6 shot.

I think you range will be limited even if smoothbore - no choke.

Your pattern will be crap when you need the tightest pattern in all hunting.

You can forget about shooting turkey with shot from your rifle. I don't think that will work well.

I took a look at the Mossberg and was surprised on the dollars to quality factor I will definately go this week to purchase the Mossberg if I can find in stock in Quebec. Thanks again for the heads up
