I got the beard buster this past spring, and I got my first turkey with it. It has some big problems though, at least on my shotgun, a Weatherby PA-08 Uplands 20 ga with a 26" barrel. When I was patterning my loads I was shooting 18-24 inches low at 25 yards. The instructions say to move the rear sight back on the shotguns rib, but I was back as far as I could go. I just figured I would remember to aim high when the bird came in. Well, when that big jake came in my heart was going so hard I was sure the bird was going to hear it.

I can't remember if I aimed high, low or what. Anyway, he stuck his head up over the road edge 5 yards away and I blasted him, but there weren't too many pellets in his head.
To fix the problem, I ended up getting the Dead ringer winshooting front bead, the smaller one. It is much lower in height than the one supplied in the beard buster package and now my gun is dead on at 25-30 yards. That front bead was an extra 20 bucks though, and I think they should have it worked out so you don't need to buy another one match the rear sight. I am happy using the wingshooting bead for trap and skeet at the range, so it was a good buy in the end. That said, the fit and finish of the beard buster is great, it seems very tough and if it falls off in the bush you have bigger problems. I'm not sure about the long term durability of the machine screws that hold the rear sight on, I think they will strip out eventually. I think some of the Tru Glo sights would be a much better value, even if you needed the gunsmith to install them. With that in mind, give the sight a try, let us know how it works.
