I saw these strutting their stuff at about 8:30 this morning. They were getting quite vocal too. I was even able to get within gun range:D .

ya i see a whole bunch everyday...they are kind of splitting up now, not as huge of flocks...they answer your calls at all??? i can get em to answer but they wont come running over, probably differnet story if i put out the jake decoy lol

Just a heads up fellas... an over zealous Game Warden could and likely would lay a charge of "harrassing wildlife" for walking up to a flock with camera. I am sure callling them out of season would get you in the same pickle.
I was told by the CO in our area that as soon as you step off the road and move towards them he would lay that charge.:(

thats retarded

I was squirrel and black bird hunting when i was came out to a corn field where there was like 50 turkeys, i sat down in some pines on the edge of the bush and watched them for a good 30 minutes. the toms wouldnt answer but some hens got pretty close to me

this is my uncles 100 acre farm land so i'd never see gamewarden out here.

wouldnt be the best if i got stopped though, i had the .17hmr in hand lol

when i bought the gun the guy told me to be careful with it, its suppostly the "rifle of choice" for poachers

That's phucked. Taking a picture is harassment now?:bsFlag: (Not on you BR, on the fact that being near nature is now against the law)

Poaching what?

LH

probably everything from ducks, birds, turkeys and even deer

he just said if i have it with me in the truck and i get stopped don't be surprised if they ask a lot of questions and want all my info....they can't really DO anything unless i have a poached animal with me or they see me hunting

i always got it in the gun sock, unloaded so im not to worried...plus i don't poach lol if it's with me in the truck im either going hunting at my cousins that lives like 10 minutes away....or im comin home

That's crazy. The next thing you will be telling us is that turkey's can take out restraining orders so you can't be within 100 yds of them.
