Have you guys considered bringing in some Turkish lever action rifles? The "Gforce Huckleberry" is a Turkish gun that is selling for $600usd or less stateside, but twice that in Canadian pesos. This feels like a really good opportunity for someone to cut out a middle man or two (as the Gforce rifles are coming from Turkey through the USA before they get to us) and provide the customer with a great price on a rifle that will no doubt be popular.

According to this video, the all-black model (which Gforce isn't offering) starts at $300US for importers.

I still have all Turkish Contacts however for this year 100% I will not be importing anything from Turkey. After March next year there is high probability that I will restart Turkish imports
That's music to my ears, i used to love watching to see what different things you would get in next

How do these compare with Rossi for price and quality?
And is the receiver steel, aluminum, or brass? The description claims all 3.
If it’s on par with a Rossi but cheaper and still has a steel receiver it would be great. Even better if it was weather resistant like CERAKOTE, nickel, or stainless.

I have a Rossi,my daughter has a Henry. Both in .357,I like the Henry better as it's side eject. My Rossi is stainless and shoots well.

I handled the Gforce at a local Canadian Tire and was not impressed even at the price point.

Aluminum receiver.

The hope was a product that is significantly cheaper than a Rossi, as the manufacturer claims these start at $300 USD for importers.

Ah. Thanks. If the price difference is big enough it would still be worth it. A functional rifle for several use-cases. But if the price is too similar I think anyone would pay a little extra for a steel receiver of similar design (1892 style)

I’ve seen steel 92s with peened and setback mortises, last place I’d want a material with aluminums properties
Internals are steel, receiver itself is aluminum. I'm not familiar enough with the 92 design to know if that makes much of a difference though. Care to comment?

From what I can gather, the mortices are milled in the bolt, so as long as the bolt is steel, and the locking blocks that go into the mortices are steel, it shouldn't be an issue?

The area I highlighted is the area of concern, they are milled into the bolt but the lugs need support in order to hold the bolt, that’s where the receiver mortises come into play, it’s close to a 50/50 split

I'd take the risk on an aluminum 1892 45 colt or 357 in a mares leg style. Lighter to carry if a person wanted to holster one. Works good for grouse when doing other work so lighter would be nice.
