Just thought I’d post some pics of the Turkish SL-12 compared to a SPAS-12. Well technically this is a Franchi PA-8 with a SPAS-12 heat shield & handguard and SPAS-12 stock, but close enough. Also not that I had to fabricate the front and rear sights for the PA-8, so don’t compare those.

We had one of these Turkish SPAS 12’s out to the range yesterday. I was skeptical when my buddy bought it as…well..it’s Turkish after all. Was pleasantly surprised with its performance in both semi and pump. Yes, like the original SPAS this one is also fussy with ammo in semi mode. Had great success with Federal, Winchester and Remington 2 3/4” and 3” 00 buck and slugs. Yes the Challenger, Clever and some no name crap we had on hand had issues in semi, but none in pump mode. Follow manufacturers recommendations for high brass, 1350fps or better. This gun we had was straight outta the box with no extra lubrication or modifications ….
