Turkish Shotgun Reigns Supreme?

The Benelli M4 patent steps aside, empowering Turkish craftsmen to shape shotgun fantasies in an irresistibly affordable fashion. A sanctuary for those wavering on the precipice of an expensive Benelli M4. This is an offense to my Fellow Italians.

Only if you can swap out the cheaply made internals with Benelli parts. Otherwise I'd never buy a turk gun because when they break, you'll never get parts for them. They're disposable.

Held one of those new Turkish "under barrel" shotguns last week, the closest I've ever come to buying a Turkish gun but here I am without it. Honestly, the nicest machining/finishing/tolerances I've seen on a pump gun coming out of that country. Wonky idea to use it as a stand-alone gun, and probably 2X the max I'd spend on a Turkish shotgun too. I'd only have myself to blame if something failed on a $1,000 toy and I couldn't get the part. lol I have enough of that in my life already.

in my case at 1/6 the price it certainly reign supreme, though it requires a lot a fix out of the box, I thoroughly enjoyed the puzzling experience, turkish shotguns, are gateway of sort. Makes me appreciate the original designs. and allows me to do whatever modification to the internals.

I have yeeted 3 cases of buck and slugs, and 2 cases of target loads, and I'm about half a benelli in.

I used to be hesitant to drop big money on a m4, but now I would get one, I think the gas system is so well designed. easy to clean and take apart vs other gas pistons. also the manual of arms that make the gun less prone to jamming and allowing ghost loading.

I’ve shot one of the M4 clones and it wasn’t terrible, can’t say I’d buy one. If I was looking for a tactical semi autos I’d be looking for something from Fabarm, Benelli or Beretta.

Three of the best competition shotgun guys I know are all running M4 clones, all have done some minor tinkering with them and every one of them runs problem free and are extremely dependable. Based on what I have seen in numerous two gun/three gun and dynamic shotgun competitions I would not hesitate to buy one. Are they as nicely finished as a Benelli, no they are absolutely not but if you don’t mind a bit of hand on they can be pretty damn good

I think the days of the supremacy of the M4 is over and the 1301 has taken the lead, They are cheaper, lighter, reliable, and can cycle light loads way better than the M4 so unless you are shopping for the Benelli brand there is really no reason to pay more when a 1301 is everything and a better price point. I picked up the 1301 21" competition version and it can do all the mods as the tactical but I wanted the bead sights over the iron sights because I wanted to be able to use mine for game bird hunting like grouse or pheasant or clays as well

I have a Turknelli, Revolutionary Armoury, or what ever its called. I picked it up for $500 ish on a black friday a few years back. It had some loading issues at first but that smoothed up over time. Its a fun gun to have but it is not my so to SA shotgun. I prefer my Mossberg 930 SPX, its a little heaver but is soaks up the recoil nicely and has never had any issues. That being said, I did end up biting the slug and picked up a 1301 from a fellow CGN'r which should be here next week.

Sweet.

The new ones with the Argo type gas system look pretty decent. I dunno, I bought a Derya Carina way back in time from Dlask when he was blowing them out for $250 or whatever, it's a hunting style semi with the standard type gas piston, pretty nice wood and the bluing on the barrel is way too nice, never had an issue with it, keep waiting for the MIM charging handle to fall apart but it's still going. Never jams and looks real pretty lol, makes me want to give one of these new ones a go.
