TURKNELLI FULL LENGTH magazine tube

You guys are all trying to calculate 5.9 x 3” when that’s the opened length. You got to calculate using an unopened 3” shell spec from Saami which is ~70.1 mm max which is 2.76”, this x 5.9 would yield 16.28”. If you did 5.9 x 3” = 17.7” you are so screwed. ILLEGAL ILLEGAL ILLEGAL!

Careful. Capacity should be limited using the minimum cartridge length (2.655) not the maximum (2.76)

Capping the mag at 5.9 round of longer 3inch shell (2.76) would allow 6 rounds of smaller 3inch shells (2.65)

5 shells being 0.1 inch shorter would give you an extra 1/2 inch of mag capacity pushing your 5.9 x2.76inch to about 6.14x2.65

You are wrong. Rcmp definition is based on the maximum size the gun was designed for.
So 5.9 rds of 3 inch is,legal. Has been this was for at least 10 yrs since the rcmp release the paper on the subject

I'm not wrong. You need to read my post again but slowly. If you make a mag tube that fits exactly 5.9 rounds of 3 inch roll crimped shell it could potentially fit 6 rounds of folded crimp 3 inch shells. Again capacity should be limited using the minimum length of a 3 inch shell (2.655) not the maximum (2.76). In other words if you build a guns to fit only 5.9 of the longer 3 inch shells it will fit 6 of the shorter 3 inch shells and would be prohib.
