Turn a DA P762 into a Carbine?

This might be way out of left field, but has anyone ever given any thought into making either just a carbine adapter (a la Sigtac) but specifically for the P762 or a extra long barrel and a chassis that fits around the gun? It could make a nifty little pistol carbine to shoot.

I have a sigtac chassis. Tried it on my norinco sig .40. Didn't work. The angle of the rail was off, rear sights would interfere when back, pistol had such a downward cant. It does work my Glock 34, so it must be the Norc pistol

I'm sure a great number of people, myself included, would be interested in a 7.62x25 Tokarev caliber carbine with detachable mag, either in tactical form (ie Just Rite Carbine) or traditional (ie marlin camp carbine).

Somebody get on the phone to Norinco pronto!

Hah hah, well, we've got a base with the pistol, so someone designing a carbine adapter to go around it would be sweetness.

Id much prefer a stand alone 7.62x25 carbine, that way there is a possibility for it to be NR. Now THATwould sell like hotcakes. And just might be the coolest caliber for a carbine too...

Actually, didn't the ppsh come in this caliber originally? Anyone ever make a semi auto version?

There is a 9mm Chiappa M1 Carbine, that would make a suitable basis for 7.62x25. Or any of the recent 9mm non-res carbines like the JR. The PPSH is a fascinating machine, it has hardly any parts inside.

Ahhh yes. The Chiappa M1 carbine...

If it wasn't such a steaming pile of #### I woulda bought one of those a year ago and wouldn't care about a 7.62x25 carbine...
