Turned over a new leaf today

I dunno....new guns are always nice, but I'd like to see a guide with a rifle with a whole lotta miles on it. Tried and true, dependable....
Have a great time up there.

I have to agree.....but like Doug said, lots of miles on the guide helps too....lol

I always shudder when a client arrives and takes the tag off his rifle in camp. Maybe I will have James take the stock for a ride behind his skateboard for a while......put some marks on it.

I wish I had that ol wood burning kit I had as a kid. Id put some "high quality" art on the stock...........

Im actually still waiting for it to get here....Karl at KS arms might tell me to go to hell if I dont get it to him this week..

Randy if you need a shootin' iron to pack up there just give me a shout, I have a few spares.............

But no .444s right now, sorry.

Doug

The .444 has been Randy's go to gun for guiding since i have known him here on the board. At this point its probably like another appendage and everything is just instinctive when it comes to handling it and using it. I'd trust my kids with him in a gnarly situation if it ever came down to it.

.....and I PROMISE and SWEAR before the Almighty I will NEVER EVER try and "plum brown" finish this one...:D:redface:
