If anyone wants to add at least one decent "tac" feature to their Mini, they should consider the Ultimak rail. It allows for some good optics solutions to be applied. Supposedly, it also acts as a heat sink to get some of that heat off the barrel. I don't know if the Ultimak would mount on the Target model though.

A heavy-barrelled Mini is a great choice for coyote hunting. It allows for faster follow up shots.

I had my Mini 14 customized and it looks exactly like the top picture. Stock, gas block, mag release from Accuracy Systems Inc(pre-ban days), 20" Barrel medium contour from Gaillard-Melfort, Sk, Assembly and trigger job by a smith in Calgary. Topped of with a Bushnell 10X Mil-dot and held up with a harris bipod. Shoot 69 Gr Sierra match Kings. Looks great, handles well but still a mini-14... Inconsistant grouping

Precision Mini-14? Oh well here's what you do;

Walk up to the target, hold your barrel 1" from said target directly over the bullseye, pull the trigger. This should be able to claim 2 - 4 MOA until the barrel heats up then after that YMMV :D.

Kidding aside those are some nice stocks in the OP.

Those barrel struts like the Har-bar act as heat sinks and the normally seen stringing is reduced considerably. :stirthepot2:

The biggest improvements are experienced with the earlier pencil barrels but the "heat sink" effect works with the 580+ series Minis as well.
