I got a new Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn scope for my 17hmr. I made an adjustment to the elevation and when I put the cap back on it started to turn the whole turret. I'm 99% sure I didn't cross thread it since it's on all of the way and I only used one finger to get it on. When I tightened it up at the end it felt a bit strange. I tried to unscrew it (2-3 turns) and found that it wouldn't the whole elevation turret started to 'unscrew'. I took a few shots and found that it was shooting several inches high now.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try to get the cap off? Will this happen again? Has anyone else had this problem?
