When I was looking at turret presses I was told that the Lyman has play in the turret where the Redding has a way to remove the play in the turret but still be able to spin it freely when needed.
I've never used the Redding and do not know how it deals with the play, but the Lyman has a stud under the back side of the turret that you spin down to turn the turret and back up to lock everything into place. Seems to be effective, and sometimes simple is the best answer. Of course I don't shoot BR.
