If you go to the Sako site and check the detachables on the Sako 75 it says 1-8 twist. The Sako 85 is offered in both the 1-8 & 1-12 twist. The old 461 action, which I assume is the action that is stamped AI on the receiver is a 1-12 twist. Why did they go from the 1-12 in the 461 to the 1-8 in the 75's, and now offer both in the 85? Has anyone had experience with both twists and how would they rate them? Will a 60gr bullet stabilize fine in a 1-12 twist? I had a 22-250 Sako 75 with a 1-14 twist that shot a 60gr quite well. My 1-14 Remington will not shoot a 60gr at all! I thought the old 223 were like the 75's and had 1-8 twist! On closer inspection they are a 1-12 though. I know up to 53gr bullets I should have no problems, I am curious however about 60gr bullets as I have a bunch! Also what is the approximate FPS difference in a 1-8 vs 1-12 with the same barrel length? Thanks!
