After handling it, I sure as hope you don`t own dogs yourself. Not sure how bad it spreads, but it can!

Don't have dogs but have heard it can be transfered so I always use gloves moving them (chucking them deep in the bush) but didn't have gloves with me so I used garbage bags, no skin contact was made...
