I ordered two Steel Lips mags from Wholesale Sports about a week and a half ago. I checked the status of my order on their website several times afterwards and it never changed from "Approved". After seven days had gone by with no charges on my credit card and no change in status I figured they were probably out of stock. Earlier today I recieved an email from WSS that said my order was cancelled. This confirmed my suspicions that they had no stock, and that they likely wouldn't recieve anymore due to the export restrictions.

When I arrived home this evening I saw a box sitting on the coffee table and figured it must be one of the things I've bought in the EE recently. After examining it I find it's from WSS and contains my Steel Lips mags!! I just checked my credit card online and still no charges... Looks like they were free!! An early Xmas present from WSS. Yay! Now I wish I had ordered a few more!

Sounds familiar...

Interesting:
I actually called WSS today to check on the steel lips mag I ordered because it still wasn't showing up on my VISA statement on-line. They said that my mag had shipped on the 20th but it still hasn't shown up on my VISA... ??

oh yeah, well last week i got a brick of winchester 22lr (500rnds) for the cost of 50 rounds, 2.99$$$

stupid wokers with there incorrect skews/barcodes!!!:)

I am sure I sound judgemental, but did it ever occur to you guys that when you order or buy something, and you get it, and through some oversight you are not billed, or are undercharged, you are still obligated to pay for it. IMO making a deal and then not paying as you agreed is wrong, even if the seller makes a mistake.
If any one of you had posted that you made an effort to pay for the item despite the sellers mistake I would have been impressed, and would have dealt with you in confidence in EE. Based on your posts, I would be reluctant to do business with any of you, for fear you would think it OK to screw me if I made a mistake in my math or forgot I had sold you something.

Sometimes when doing person to person buisness with a local shop it's good to be honset about things like that. But with a big box corp. (Wholesale Sports) it's probably more hassle to actually get them paid if they missed invoicing you. If Wal mart forgets to charge me 10 bucks for toilet paper I ain't going back into that gong show to give it to them.

So, you paid nothing and got 2 mags. I, on the other hand, paid for 2 mags and have got nothing! Its been 5 weeks. they also have not responded to my email.

If that happened to me I wouldn't inform them, but I wouldn't be on the internet bragging about it either.
By this thread alone, I wouldn't be doing any business with them. Losing orders, failing to charge for order, and misinformation. Sounds like a pretty crappy company.

Same as Accurate, if it was a local business I'd tell them about it. But it's likely they wouldn't be as disorganized as wss seems to be.

Well, I called wss and was told that the mags had been sent back because they were unclaimed at the post office. They made it all the way to my local post offce, but I never got a notice. I don't know why it was not just put in the mail box. So that makes 2 screw ups from Canada post in the last month.

WSS is shipping it back again, I have to pay another shipping charge, but at least I still will get them. (hopefully :()

I'm sure I'll live if I'm on your "Do not deal with in EE list" I tend to avoid preachy people on moral high horses anyways ;)

A deal was made, I sent them my credit card number and the ball is in their court to make sure I'm charged accordingly before they ship the item to me. If it was a Mom & Pop store that I was dealing with in person I would likely feel differently but it was a faceless corporation on the internet. I think I'll sleep soundly tonight, it must be kharma for all those times I was honest ;)

No bragging here, just thought I'd share my happy day. Didn't realize it would ruffle so many feathers
