I am in the market for a Lee Enfield No.4, and i came across one that looks pretty good. That one sold but i found another one that is nice. Its a 1943 LB No.4 Mk1*, all matching with a two groove barrel. my question is are two groove barrels any less accurate then say a four groove?

ive had several 303s 2 of them had 2 groove barrels. they were more accurate and much easier to clean. the only downside ive heard is that they wear out quicker.i have never noticed this and im not realy sure i believe it. i wouldnt hesitate to purchase a 2 groover

Sweet, I might just call up the store and tell them to ship it out. But one more question, The stock on it looks a little dirty, its in good shape but is black in some spots. Whats a good way to clean the wood? I heard steel wool is good once you remove the oil from the wool (would methyl alcohol work to remove the oil?) and I still have a bottle of Boiled Linseed Oil from when i did the stock on my Lithgow sporter. I have the erge to sand the stock once i get it (i sanded the stock on my sporter and it turned out great) but that will lower the value greatly.

just curious why not buy from the EE, usually much cheaper
