Hey, just received my T-81 and i am very happy with it. Very communist: everything is rought but it works and i like it! Haters can go hate somewhere else.

Two questions here:

#1- What is the purpose of the hex tool provided with the sight tool? How are we supposed to use it?

#2- I think the rear aperture sight has this weird shape in order to fire rifle grenades. How is it inteded to be used? Is there another ranging system on the grenades themselves? How it is supposed to be lined up?

Thanks

1 - to scrape carbon fouling out of the gas port.
2 - there is a graduated sighting bar on the stabilizer fin of the type 81 rifle grenade that is used in concert with the t81 rear sight. You have to have the grenade affixed for the sight picture to make sense.

Some guys are removing (hacksaw?) the bar from the rear sights since we can't get rifle grenades here. A matter of personal preference.

Ok stupid question here.....I'm about to head to the range.....gonna shoot from 50 and 100m and out to 200m

Do i in start with my sight dial at (1) for closest? And crank it up to 2,3,4,5 for farther out? Or is it backwards? Start at (5) for closest ?

well maybe someone will bring in practice grenades I'm leaving my sight alone

Thanks for the quick reply.

I am also keeping the dremmel away from my sight... In the past people found practice grenades for M59/66 (Yougo SKS), we were able to try them with blanks.

The same thing may happend with the T-81.

Is there a trick to get the sight to go to '1'? I cant seem to get the #1 facing upward, no matter which way I rotate it, always stops one number ahead of or behind '1'.

I think it's meant to be read from the back when the gun is shouldered, not from the top looking down.

Mine has a little dent in the side I line up the numbers with. When you pull out on the left one and rotate it to 0 it releases the gas system cover.

Lol, I'm typing too slow today

^^^^^thanks man my brain isn't working this morning that's what I thought just making sure

It isn't just a matter of selecting 1 and being dialed in for 100m, you may have to use your front sight adjusting tool to bring POI up or down to be on target, so have enough target backing to register wayward hits. I had to adjust mine. The windage was dead on. I don't know if there's a way to adjust windage if it's off.

My t81 was bang on for windage but was shooting low out of the box. Adjusted the front sight with the provided tool and all good.
My friends t81 was on for elevation but shooting left. Had to use the Sks sight tool and adjusted the front sight over.

Just curious, anybody has a picture of chinese rifle grenades with elevation markings?

the elevation marked attachments on the fins flip up.
