I know this is just aesthetics , but which do you
prefer in pistols--black frame with a sliver (stainless or
nickel) slide or all black?

You tell me? Regards, Richard:)

If you have to go two-tone, I prefer a stainless frame with blued slide. Otherwise it's all blued for me, thanks....;)

Stainless, nickel or otherwise "shiny" upper just doesn't "do it" for me......:(

And actually my favourite finish of all is WWII USGI 1911A1 matte finish.... especially "Du-lite" blue.... ;)

I like the look of the two toned. Although I would only purchase a two tone in stainless, not nickel.

I had problems with the nickel frame on my CZ, as nickel tarnishes easily and quickly. Looks like crap when it turns black... although it is fairly easy to restore the finish with a nickel cleaner. But what a hassle!

My next two tone is stainless for sure.

I agree with NAA on this; the slide should be black. One of the gentlemen I shoot with just order a SIg X-5 with a stainless lower and a black slide to cut down on possible glare.

I like all black / blued myself, or all stainless. Two tone doesn't do anything for me personally, but everyone has their own tastes.

i like two tone best, i'm giving the two tone treatment to my 92fs right now

it's an original blued model, i got a stainless barrel and skeletonized polished hammer for now (and the walnut grips)

will be ordering all the stainless controls pretty soon (trigger, mag release, all the levers etc etc)

when i got it :
