I have two Winchester Model 1897 12 gage riot shotguns marked Kingston Penn.
No shields on them with bayonet lugs, butt stocks are rough but serviceable.
Just looking for a ball park. They are going to the Grand Digue gun show this weekend.

Interesting. I wonder how common they are, and if (as I hear) the place may become a full-on museum, the folks setting it up would be interested. But for all I know, mind you, half the people in Kingston may own one.

Any true M97 trench guns bring big bucks in the USA but these are simply M97's ordered with 20 inch cylinder bore barrels. As for a price, condition is everything.

A lot of the “riot” 97’s are shortened long guns. Things to look for are take down model with short barrels and 20” barrel marked “full” choke which aren’t anymore after being cut down.
Quite a few of them were reworked in the 70’s.
