I looked at my records and realized that I paid $1,500 for this Dahlgren Knife Bayonet back in May 2001.

Not knowing anything about the value of these Dahlgren Knife Bayonets I decided to go to the Civil War Show in Gettysburg in June 2001 to see what I could learn.
As I recall there was only one example for sale at the show ---nowhere as nice as the one I had just purchased and almost the same price that I had paid BUT in U.S. Dollars.
According to my notes I drove 871 Kms to get to Gettysburg ---round trip of 1740 kms.
While at the show I bought a very nice 1860 Colt Army revolver and a Civil War Bullet display.
I bought the Colt from Fred Wilkens for $1,500.
Apparently he died in 2007.
This is a photo of him from the Long Island show in 1986.
THIS COLT is a KEEPER!

In 2020 I paid $1,800 USD for this beautiful Civil War holster from Collector's Guild in N.B.
The Colt Army revolver fits in it.
I had been selling a number of pieces on Collector's Guild SO----the proceeds from those sales helped pay for this holster.
All of my sales were also in U.S. dollars.
Two of my best revolvers with the new holster.
Some of the deactivated pistols that I sold at Collector's Guild in N.B. which contributed to the purchase of the holster shown above.
