Im considering the purchase of a type 56 from Tenda, and was wandering if anybody has had any experience or thoughts on them.
Thanks

I have two chinese SKS. Both are fine. No problems. I actually dressed one up like a russian. I changed the stock to a laminated and put on a blade bayonet. Just for kicks.

another thing, I would be weary of it being military surplus. Most of the Chinese SKS on the market right now are commercial. They are pretty much the exact same thing just new or new old stock... Just when the many many different factories stopped making the SKS for the military a lot of them continued pumping them out for export.

here is some info.

My type 56 has the best trigger out of my sks collection followed by my sks-D then the russian counterparts

I've had 5 "used" ones and a brand new one. the 5 used were perfect but for some reason the new one shoots 24" high at 100m with the sight set to 100m and the fight sight cranked as much as it can.

Try to get a proper PLA rifle, there are at least a couple of different eras of Chinese SKS's. Military production is the best quality, later civy ones were not built to the same standard.
