This is my Type 56 SKS from the recent sale at Marstar. The stock on mine doesn’t seem to be completely refinished, there are a few dents but nothing excessive. Otherwise the gun is immaculate, unfired, very nice chrome lined barrel with shiny rifling.
Waiting to go to the range now.

I believe the last batch of "Oh look what we found in the corner" was $350+
I see they have crates of Chinese surplus 7.62x39 for $399.. I can only imagine how many customers they have lost and are desperate for $.. I didn't know gouging was a way to get them back.

WOW!!! Indeed, they charge now $399 for a crate of surplus! Two weeks ago I bought a crate of the same ammo for $295 with free shipping! Including tax that would be nearly 10 cents per cartridge more than the old price.
By comparison, a crate of Chinese surplus 7.62x39mm is $319 at Tradex. A $24 increase from the old price of $295. The price of 7.62x39mm per cartridge is getting closer to a price of a 9mm Luger cartridge!
Keep flippantly posting those cheap surplus x39 price locations here guys and they'll be gone in half the time they normally would...and you're naive if you think the next lot they bring in will ever be at that price again. AKA... shaddup!
Not exactly so. Wolverine add $25 TDG fee. So the price is $250 per crate of 1440. They also charge shipping which to my place would be $45. So for me the real price would be $295 which is exactly same what I paid to Marstar two weeks ago with free shipping. Tradex have free shipping too.
Still $295 for a crate of 1440 is not so bad.
Not because of a chrome lined barrel most Russian SKS have chrome lined barrels! The price these days is because there are/were no more around to buy so the price went from about $150 for a new in the grease Chinese SKS to $350.. just supply and demand! Rumours around that there will be more soon but the price will be close to Marstars!
