Type 81 Ambi Mag Release - From the mind of Bubba

Screwing around today making some planter hangers for the misses, I came upon a scrap piece of thin wall 1" square tubing and had an idea...

One of the pet peeves I have with the T81 is the abnormally long reach to the mag release, and the fact I can't release it with my trigger finger.
So some cutting on the portaband in my SWAG OFFFROAD mount (these things are awesome), some carving and whittling away a while latter, and I have this abortion:

Mounted up to the rifle and it passes for a reasonable ambi mag release I can reach with my index finger.

With some refinement this could be a very cool addition to the platform. I loved the Vz58 ambi mag releases, that could be actuated with the trigger finger... this is a kinda similar idea.

I'm not a fabricator or a machinist (obviously), so if I can hack it together on a Sunday afternoon while I drink some pops while smoking a brisket, I'd dare say I'd give it a go.

TNA tried but it didnt work... they stopped selling em
