Type 81 failure to extract/cycle bolt

Hey guys I just bought type 81 a couple months back and I am having a problem with it ever since I field-stripped it to clean and oil it. I'm not sure what I did wrong but I hope it's something simple after I cleaned it and put it back together I tested it out and the bolt no longer cycles the action after I fire the rifle, so it fails to extract the spent case and chamber new round. Is there some way to turn the gas off or something like that I may have done accidentially or did I maybe put something in backwards perhaps. Hoping for any suggestions to look at before I strip it down again. Thanks in advance.

Check that the gas selector at the front under the sight is set to 1 or 2, 0 is off and will not cycle the rifle.
