Type 81 folding stock mod questions

Okay gentleman, I have a weird one for you to mull over. I have a type 81 folding stock model. I recently commissioned a woodworker to make a Romanian style wood foregrip. Now I love this look but it’s lacking something, so I did some shopping. Call me a fool but I found a Romanian style wire stock made from quality steel. Would it be legal to see if I can get a gunsmith to modify my type 81 to add this Romanian stock to it? Better yet.. would it be worth it?

As long as you keep the barrel length the same, and ensure the full rifle with the stock folded exceeds 270 mm, you should be ok.

Whoops, my bad, probably got the almost 27" part confused with the metric minimum length.
