With those type of tools you can only damage the rifle or hurt yourself. Get good quality punches and bigger hammer. You need a vise as well. If these stubborn pins won't come out, then you will need to heat that whole area with propane torch and while its hot then try to punch them out. If still no go then you would need to dunk the sight in cold water while its hot and repeat the heating. You need to grip the barrel in the vise so it won't move while you hammering on the pins. That's the only way they would come out.

Id first try squirting release all over it, letting sit for 10 mins and then pounding on it with a large hammer and short stubby punch. Possibly try the opposite side incase its tapered. If this fails then yes id resort to gewehrs heating methods...

Alright! I’ve seen another post about a type 81 customized too look like a ak74 where you put your videos in.
Would you customize it for me? I will pay of course !

you dont need someone to mod it for you, part of the fun is doing it yourself.

the pins arent tapered.

like others have said. use a vise (protect the barrel with copper or aluminum), shorter punch and a 3 lbs hammer.

Is it possible to rotate the front sight independently of the barrel? I realized my front sight seems to be off about 1-2 degrees from vertical, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to fix that.

I believe it sits on a round section of barrel. SO in theory it should be able to rotate. However fixing the front sight base firmly to the barrel after rotating it may be a challenge since the pin holes will not be usable. You would have to drill new ones elsewhere of possibly modify it to hold in place with a set screw.

For me personally, if the rifle can be zeroed as is, id leave it. The Type 81s are infamous for being out of alignment everywhere. My folding stock has a solid 5 degree cant to it, the pistol grip was off by like 10 degrees and the barrel/receiver alignment is out by most of a degree (may not sound like much but that works out to 5 feet at 100m) Despite all of that, its irons are zeroed and its one of the most comfortable red rifles ive ever shot.
