Type 81 in VZ58/SKS skin

Nothing special. Just sharing my recent wood furniture exchange for plastic on Type 81. Just in case somebody also likes minimalistic design.


1. Gas tube cover = SKS (from ATI GEN 2 stock, needs significant filing)
2. Handguard=VZ58 (some filing, also needs epoxy reinforcement in the front and rear ends)
3. Pistol grip=basic VZ58 (extremely minimal filing)/ Fab Defense VZ 58 pending

4. AK Side mount=pending
5. Paracord on buttstock=pending
6. AK Rubber recoil pad=pending

I am thinking just too vs to and a bit of the root of it...
not doing bottom as no clear need
need paracord for shooting comfort and some sort of shtf use

For the type 81..... it's a bigger deal than many would think. Talking from experience... 5 times over haha

Well the VZ's are certainly easier to side mount.

oh man you make my heart bleed.... I will wait to buy one SKS-D w/o trading my T81.
Coz I really like this T81 folding stock

and I need SKS-D to create a very very close AK47 copy
