I just used a steel punch and had both pins out in a minute or so.
I also put a small block of wood under the receiver.
Pins were on the tight side but came out pretty easy.
Cheers
Jeff
I went from left to right but really I don’t think it matters.
Pins aren’t tapered . Looked the same on both ends.
I got one out but my god the second one will not budge.
Maybe try a can of frozen air to the pin, and the punch?
What's the trick to getting the pins out?
I'm going to bring it to work and try the hydraulic press.
Please make all your co-workers aware well beforehand and transport it from your vehicle to the equipment in a case; we don't want to see you SWATed!
Now that I finished that I'm trying to get the lower handguard off my folder. I got the screw out but it feels like I'm gonna break the front nose of the handguard if I bend it far enough to get it out. Do you have you to drive the pin out of the forward retainer/sling point to get the handguard out?
did you remove the cleaning rod, I know it seems to simple, but it wont come with it in there
I'm am idiot. Thanks guys.
