Type 81 optics mount left handed?

Can the type 81 rifle be fired left handed with an optic mount attached without collateral finger damage? I've seen photos of mounts well above and well below the bottom of the receiver. Not that 7.62/39 has appreciable recoil but no one likes getting bitten by moving parts.

the one that worked for me is the kobra one and everything mounted using the same rail.

i shot an lmg with the ti piccatiny and it is not confortable but doable but on the long run i will suggest any rail that do no add huge widest point on the left point of the rifle.

the eye relief may be an issue but nothing to do with or right handed on that we are all equal.
