Type 81 Prohib?

Was calling around to find a Type 81 when I was informed by the vendor that they are now prohibited. Being pretty sure they were still NR, I double checked the list and still couldn't find it. So I called the CFP 1-800 number and after some digging it was confirmed that the Type 81 is prohibited as it is considered an "AK-47 variant".

Am I the only one who didn't know this?

So perhaps she was confused with the non commercial variant?

Strange that the vendor would tell me that it's prohibited as well.

Im glad that they make it so easy to follow the law...

This is 100% correct. Non-Restricted.. Please call the vendor and educate them asap.. Its a Type 81SA

Just called the CFP again, they veridied the Type-81 is NON-RESTRICTED OVER 18.5"

I'll be calling the vendor.......
