Type 97 Bent Rail?

Anyone ever see a bent rail on a gen3 type 97? I grabbed one in the past 2 months. Just took it out for the first time, discovered the FTU rail is bent in badly.
Above the charging handle.
Anyone hear of this before?

If you apply enough force to anything, it will bend. Did you not inspect the rifle before purchase or immediately upon arrival?
