Type 97 Or Type 97-1?

Does anyone know if the Type 97s coming in are the older design or are they the new design rifles with the selector switch near the trigger with a bolt hold open device, gas regulator and made left-hand friendly the same way they did it with the Tavor?

It would be great to get the newer version though.
Last I heard was that the powers that be in the Chinese military had not approved the new version for export yet.
